Our August Member of the Month goes to Harrison 👏

It’s pretty rare for one of our juniors to take this one out, but Harrison has absolutely earned it.

Harrison is an Under 14 athlete currently playing rep basketball with Broadmeadows Broncos, domestic basketball and is also part of our WPBL program.

On top of all of that, he’s part of our Elevate program at UAC.

Elevate gives our athletes more access to the facility alongside structured strength and conditioning, so they can start taking more ownership over their development outside of their normal team training.

And Harrison definitely makes use of it.

He’s constantly in the facility. He gets his shots up, gets his strength and conditioning work done and is probably one of the most consistent workers we have in the room.

22 visits in August alone.

But it’s not really the number that earned him Member of the Month. It’s how he goes about it when he’s here.

He works hard, listens, wants to improve and is always keen to be involved, whether that’s training, tournaments or anything else happening around UAC.

Most importantly, he’s just a genuinely good kid and we’ve loved having Harrison and his family become such a big part of the UAC West community.

Very well deserved ❤️🖤

And thanks again to @tuffathletic for looking after our Member of the Month with a hoodie of his choice.

EASTBAY + BEHIND THE BACK DUNK 1 JUMP! 🤯 NO.12!

My 12th BTL BTB dunk! Had a weird finish this time 😂 Took me an hour and a half to hit this one 💀 technique felt so off today because I only roughly 2 hours of sleep before the session.

Ring Height: 9’10.75

Note: The ring height had been adjusted this time unfortunately, I measured the first 2 times I hit it here at 9’11.25 (with proof) and I’m fairly confident every other time would’ve still been 9’11.25. Only as of today I noticed it was definitely lower than all the previous times and it happened to be 9’10.75.

Athlete of the Month: Michael Cabritit🏆
19 visits this month 👏

Michael and Gideon have been quietly competing over who can show up the most each week…

And honestly, that’s the kind of competition we like to see!

No excuses.
No noise.
Just work.

Enjoy the hoody (just in time for the cold weather!) Courtesy of our partners @tuffathletic

BETWEEN LEGS BEHIND BACK DUNK 1 FOOT! 😱 6th

My 6th ever eastbay btb dunk!! It’s also one of the cleanest finishes I’ve had with this dunk, I find the control over the ball is improving 🫡 this is also the shortest interval between session makes, with this one only occurring 3 DAYS AFTER MY PREVIOUS BTL BTB! 😤

First interstate trip. First Hoops Fest Cup 🏆

What started as a basketball tournament became so much more — new friendships, new experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.

Proud of every single player who showed up, supported each other and embraced the moment.

Huge thank you to our partners and supporters for making this experience possible, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Okay Costco, I see you! Honestly @tuffathletic has dropped some amazing pieces and I’m loving the comeback. The first two sweatsuits are from a couple years ago but the last three should still be in stock. Run, don’t walk! 🏃🏽‍♀️

🔥Athlete of the Month🔥

This month we’re recognising Natanael Hagos — one of the most consistent athletes in the building.

With 26 visits this month, Nat is in here almost daily putting in real work. From gym sessions focused on getting fitter and improving his vertical, to jumping into our scrimmages whenever he can, he makes the most of every opportunity.

Nat has been a regular in our top 10 for attendance, and that consistency is exactly why his progress keeps stacking up. No shortcuts, just showing up and getting better.

As a thank you for his commitment, Natanael is taking home a TUFF hoodie of his choice, courtesy of our partners @tuffathletic.

Big thanks to @tuffathletic for backing our Athlete of the Month, and massive respect to you Nat — keep building.
