What are we even doing here? Well, exploring downtown Oshawa, naturally. We came to track down 13 King W — what just might be the tightest, most unassuming little arcade in all of Canada.

Boarded a mystery school bus in Toronto and ended up in a Mississauga basement with a bowling alley, a pizza warmer, and a dozen saints watching my every move. 10/10 would get kidnapped again. 🎳🍕🙏 🚌

Exploring the haunting, liminal spaces of Bowmanville’s Camp 30. Originally opened in 1925 as a boys’ training school, this site later served as a WWII prisoner-of-war camp for high-ranking German officers. Walking through these overgrown, graffiti-covered ruins feels like stepping out of time—a quiet, eerie echo of the past slowly being reclaimed by nature.

What are we even doing here?

This past Saturday, 22+ people put their trust in us and spent the day moving east to west through the Golden Horseshoe. We started in Bowmanville, then through Oshawa, Scarborough, and Mississauga, down to Hamilton and Niagara, back through Hamilton, dinner in Burlington, and an encore in Oakville. Overlooked plazas. Residual corridors. Places most people drive past. Cheap eats. An old-school dinner. A late finish.

We said twelve hours was the floor. It went fourteen. It ends when it ends.

This was our first tour of this kind. A long, fast-moving adventure as part of Loiterfest, and a huge success. We left feeling like we accomplished what we set out to do, and more inspired than when we started.

Thank you to everyone who showed up ready for the day as designed.

Thank you to Aryeh for his friendship, and for building @liminalassembly into a community that has inspired so many to take this world seriously and go out and find these special spaces for themselves.

And a big thank you to @tuhokmada — my co-host, and one of the best friends you could have. He has the same drive for these overlooked miles that I do, and this day does not happen without everything he put into it.

Many overlooked miles are still out there.

Excited to announce my first-ever tour!

On Saturday, September 12, I’m co-hosting 'What Are We Even Doing Here?' with my good friend Adam as part of LoiterFest, powered by Liminal Assembly.

This is a full-day (and into the evening) adventure through the overlooked, off-feeling corners of the Golden Horseshoe — the faded plazas, residual parking lots, and in-between spaces most people drive past without a second thought. We’re calling all detectives of déjà vu, dead mall dreamers, retro roamers, and anyone drawn to the uncanny, the kitschy, and the quietly strange.

It’s not a conventional tour. It’s a shared misadventure through the places that don’t usually make the itinerary. Some stops will hit hard, some will feel underwhelming… but they’ll all be something.

It went live this morning and we’re already almost halfway sold out, so if this sounds like your kind of day, act quickly.

May 2026, part 2. This part includes our time in Windsor & Detroit, the premiere of Backrooms, Small Town Murder live!, an adventure out to Cobourg for more Backrooms, and most importantly, Colby's 9th birthday! It's amazing how much you can do in a month.

May 2026 was one for the books. A month with so much going on, it'll need two parts to capture even just a hint of it. PNW adventures in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Bend, Leavenworth, Forks, and so many more in-between!

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the "red" carpet premiere of Backrooms in Canada with Kane Parsons and some of my favourite people in the world. I am forever grateful to know this group of amazing individuals in our little community.
