There is a new coffee shop in town! Welcome to @tupelomidtown which is @tupelocoffee’s second location.

Soo, what’s in my cups?

🥤Grapefruit Espresso Tonic // $8.00
☕️ Brown Sugar Latte // $6.50

I wanted to try the Grapefruit Espresso Tonic but if I didn’t like it, I wanted to have a backup drink 😅.
BUT I will say, the Grapefruit Espresso Tonic surprised me! If you like grapefruit, and espresso, you will like this. It was a little tart at first, but it grew on me. The flavors pair very well together and this made for a unique but perfect, refreshing, summer drink! Has anyone had this?

The Brown Sugar Latte I ended up saving for later and had no complaints, no notes!

They plan to have pastries from Ettore’s but when I was there early morning, the case was empty. Otherwise I would have grabbed a pastry to try.

If you are familiar with where Naked was on the corner of Q and 15th, right across from Fremont Park, this is the same location. A new name and a revamped interior.

The interior is gorgeous! I loved the mix of natural lighting and fun light fixtures throughout the shop. There is also a quaint little patio if you are looking for an outdoor space.

Inside the salon🌸🧚🏼‍♂️✨💕

One of the best parts about my job is working with women, femmes, or queer representing people.

I love working with women. It makes me feel safe, I can show up like myself, there’s different expectations, and sympathies that come from working with women.

The conversations are different, the services provided are more intimate and the relationships are stronger. I don’t need to explain this to a woman. You just know… like the look we give each other from across the bar, the way we protect each other by silently positioning our bodies, our intuition, the way we can have conversations without words.

The way we rage for our sisters more than we rage for ourselves.

Our laughs.. oh the laughs lollllll

It’s just. Different.

In a world of ai, chat gpt, a loss of human connection… being able to wake up everyday to a career that I can interact with PEOPLE is just beautiful. And working with people who can create people, like real little humans.. blows my mind every time.

I remember being a young cosmo.. thinking “you know if I listen, really listen to the stories and learn from what these women are saying… it’s a key to a lot of perspectives and LESSONS”

Yes I’m a waxer, but life is wiiiillllld and I’ll never take my views into other people’s lives lightly because not many get that perspective. Being a service provider is amazing.. and I’ve always been thankful to have found my passion at a young age.

I just have these thoughts 💭 and sometimes having original thoughts in a world like this can feel out of place.

But anyways I appreciate all my regulars that have been with me since day one, the ones in between, and the ones who have visited my little sanctuary. It’s not the full vision but I’m enjoying the memories while I work towards that.
