it doesn’t feel real that my senior show at gpfaa is over my last performance after being here since 6th grade. this place has watched me grow up, not just as a dancer but as a person, and it’s so hard to say goodbye to something that’s been such a big part of my life for so long. i’m so sad to close this chapter, but i’m also incredibly grateful for every memory, every lesson, and every moment on that stage. i’m beyond proud of my cast for all the hard work, passion, and heart they put into this show you all made it unforgettable. to my seniors, i love you all so much. growing up together and sharing this journey is something i’ll carry with me forever.

Last Spring Show
13 years. That’s how long this choir has been my home, my healing, my everything. God knew exactly what He was doing when He led me here. Through every high note and heartbreak, every rehearsal and redirection, this place has been His way of reminding me that I am never alone. I could say thank you a million times and it still wouldn’t come close to capturing what this program has meant to me.

But here’s a little piece from my scholarship essay called “The Most Special Thing I Will Ever Be a Part Of”:

When I spoke to our new choir inductees, I told them that what we have here is different and sacred.
I meant it with every part of me. This program taught me that community is not built through
competition, but through compassion. It taught me that leadership is not about power, but about
service. It taught me that real strength is measured by how much love you are willing to give.

I hope to spend the rest of my life creating spaces like the one that saved me. Spaces where people
are seen, heard, and loved without condition. Spaces where a scared five-year-old girl could walk in
and know that she belonged.

Vocal Music gave me my voice, but even more than that, it gave me my heart. I am proud to carry its
lessons into every room I walk into for the rest of my life, for myself, for my mother, and for the
family that believed in me when I needed it most
