I decided to take a break and again, for the second time, visit giant tortoises in Prison island near Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Today the sanctuary is a home to a colony of Aldabra tortoises imported from the Seychelles in the 19th century. Some of these gentle giants are over 150 years old and weigh more than 200 kilograms.
The island is accessible from Stone Town by boat, which takes about 20 minutes ride to reach the fascinating place, where history and nature meet.

I spend most of my days at home, and thought it would be lovely to capture some of the little corners and moments that make it feel like mine. I’m learning to notice the little nuances in the everyday, and hold onto them a little more.
