@shaneknowlton7 of @lynnenglishfb is the 2026 recipient of the Seaforth Scholarship. The highly accomplished football player had one of the best senior seasons in Lynn history. Shane’s impact as a student, athlete, teammate and role model makes him the perfect candidate. Next year he will post-grad at Choate on a full scholarship.

I don’t usually post, but I wanted to highlight the excellent work of some outstanding young gentlemen. Last week I was honored to be invited to speak at the @mkm_bentley annual networking conference and impart some wisdom on the next generation of leaders. As an alum, I was proud to see how much the organization has grown since my time at Bentley. I’m also honored to have been selected as a member of the Bentley University President’s Council. I’m excited to work with my fellow alums and administrators to help @bentleyu continue to ascend to new heights and connect our alumni base @bentleyfootball_ @bentley_mcc @wearenoceilings

Councilor @therealfredhogan always leads by example. Coach Freddy hosted a wonderful event that truly brought our community together. His leadership has had a lasting impact on my life, going back to my high school years when he was one of my football coaches. He taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and accountability. lessons that have stayed with me well beyond the field. His continued commitment to mentoring young people and serving our city is inspiring, and Lynn is stronger because of his leadership.

This morning John Hoffman was honored with the unveiling of John Hoffman Way. Hoffman has been an intricate part of sports in the city of Lynn for over 40 years.

From highlighting student athletes on the John Hoffman show to being the play by play guy for all the schools, he’s played a major part in the success of many athletes in the city of Lynn.

Well deserved honor for a living legend.
