English below החופש הגדול עוד רגע נגמר. הוא עבר לי כל כך מהר! מעבר דירה, חגיגות בר מצווה לאחי, הייתי חולה והיה לי אודישן גדול לתפקיד ראשי בסרט. עברתי אודישן ראשון, עברתי קולבק, הגעתי לשלב שלישי של מאצ'ינג. לכל אורך הדרך הבמאית אמרה לי שאני שחקנית מעולה! ובסוף אמרו לי שלא התקבלתי ובחרו ילדה שלדעתם יותר דומה לבחור שמשחק בסרט את האח.
חשבתי לעצמי שבמציאות אחי ואני גם ממש לא דומים (תגללו לתמונה האחרונה המשפחתית ותראו בעצמכם).
אני יודעת שהכל לטובה. זו לא פעם ראשונה שזה קורה. אני יודעת שככה זה בתחום. בכל מקרה אני עושה את זה בשביל הכיף, ולא בשביל אף אחד. זה מבאס כי חשבתי שהסרט הזה הוא הזדמנות טובה אבל אני בטוחה שיהיו עוד הזדמנויות ואני מקווה להצליח בעתיד. אני מאוד אוהבת את המשחק ומאמינה שמשהו אחר גדול עוד יגיע.

Summer break is almost over. It went by so fast! Moving our house, Bar Mitzvah celebrations for my brother, I was sick and I had a big audition for a lead role in a movie. I passed the first audition, I passed the callback and I got to the matching (the third and last level of casting). All along the way the director told me i'm an amazing actress!
After all that, they told me that I didn't get the part and they chose a girl who they think looks more like the guy who plays the brother in the movie. I thought to myself that in reality my brother and I look nothing alike (scroll to the last family photo and see for yourself).
I know everything is for the best. This is not the first time this has happened. I know that's how it is in the industry. Anyway, I do it for fun, not for anyone. I thought this movie was a good opportunity for me but I'm sure there will be more opportunities and I hope to be successful in the future. I love acting and believe that something else great will come.

I know my great-grandparents survived the Holocaust because my mom told me. They coped with the horrors of it by not speaking about it, as did so many other survivors. They never talked about it to my parents or me. My mom and dad only know some of their stories through their parents. The stories of survivors are slowly disappearing.

My generation is probably the last one to have a chance to meet face-to-face those who survived, to know the horrors they and their family and friends endured, along with the will to persevere in the face of impossible circumstances. Even though it is difficult and scary to hear, it is so crucial that everyone learns from their experiences and what they bore witness. If we fail to do so, history can repeat itself. That's why we must say “Never Again!”
