2025 taught me that alignment often comes through loss, and obedience doesn’t always feel peaceful—but it is always clarifying.

This was a year of realignment. Of learning that not everything that feels good fits where God is taking you, and not every open door is meant to be walked through. I learned to listen when discernment whispered, to honor what God entrusted to me, and to choose alignment over attachment—even when it hurt.

This season reshaped CTT.
From expression to alignment.
From sharing ideas to standing on conviction.
From movement to direction.

I didn’t lose my desire for love—I learned to order it.
I didn’t become distant—I became rooted.
I didn’t fall behind—I got in position.

As this year closes, I’m not rushing the next chapter or clinging to the last one. I’m stepping into the new year aligned, anchored, and attentive—trusting that what God realigns in private will bear fruit in public.

Here’s to a new year marked by clarity over chaos, alignment over urgency, and faithfulness over familiarity.
Control the tide. Stay aligned. Stay faithful.

The people God placed in my life — my family, my friends, those who’ve walked beside me through storms and seasons — remind me of His faithfulness. Their love reflects the kind of love that doesn’t depend on performance or perfection, but presence. They see me not for what I can do, but for who I am. Through them, I’ve learned that God’s love isn’t earned — it’s given, steady, and faithful.

📖 1 John 4:19 (ESV)

“We love because He first loved us.”

Who in your life has mirrored God’s love to you simply by staying, listening, and believing in you?

🌊 From the Storm to the Shore

In this episode, we open up about who we are and how God has transformed us through the storms, the silence, and the seasons that tested our faith.

This isn’t just an intro — it’s our testimony.
Because grace rewrote our story, and the same God who carried us through the waves is still faithful on the shore. 🌤️

Worry is often disguised control. We replay the “what ifs,” thinking our grip can rewrite the outcome. But peace doesn’t come from control — it comes from surrender. The moment we release what we can’t fix into God’s hands, the weight lifts and trust begins to grow. 🌿

Verse:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

What situation are you still trying to control instead of trusting God to handle?

Covenant vs. Counterfeit 🤍🔥
Sometimes God’s severe mercy breaks what we thought was covenant — not to punish, but to purify. The pain isn’t proof of His absence; it’s evidence of His presence realigning us back to Him. He doesn’t forsake us in the breaking — He’s the One holding us steady through it.

‘For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.’ — Hebrews 12:6 (ESV)

Reflection:
What if the heartbreak wasn’t rejection… but redirection back to covenant alignment with God?

From chasing clout to changing lives. 🙏🔥 What once started as WAV TV seeking attention became a platform for God’s severe mercy to work redemption. Through broken motives, He built a mission — transforming us from self-promotion to community restoration. This isn’t rebranding; it’s rebirth.”

Severe mercy will strip you before it saves you.

The kingdoms of Israel and Judah both experienced it.

God didn’t exile them because He hated them — He exiled them because He loved them too much to let them keep worshiping idols and calling it devotion.

He stripped them of what looked like security — land, status, comfort — so He could restore what truly mattered: covenant.

That’s what severe mercy does. It doesn’t come to destroy you; it comes to disentangle you from what’s destroying you.

I’ve learned this firsthand. When God strips you, it hurts. You lose people, dreams, and comfort zones. But He’s not punishing you — He’s protecting your purpose.

Sometimes He has to exile you to heal you.

Severe mercy hurts. 💔 It shakes us, breaks us, and feels like God turned away. But the Word says: “He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone” (Lamentations 3:33). 🙌

That pain was not abandonment—it was love. Severe mercy is God refusing to let us settle for less than His best. 🔥

Reflection Question:
Are you seeing loss as punishment, or as God’s severe mercy pulling you closer to Him? #christianity #severemercy #refined #godsplan

New episode incoming 🎙️🌊:
In this episode of ControlTheTide, Jeremiah and StoneCold dive deep into the painful yet transformative reality of what author Sheldon Vanauken once called a “severe mercy.” We explore how God sometimes allows heartbreak, loss, and closed doors—not to punish, but to protect and redirect.

Jeremiah shares raw reflections from his own season of exile after a costly relationship, and together we wrestle with the tension between obedience and desire, covenant and conformity, grief and growth. Through honest conversation, we uncover how severe mercy prunes us, purifies our motives, and prepares us for greater legacy—even when it feels like devastation.

This isn’t just about suffering—it’s about hope. It’s about discovering that even in life’s hardest seasons, God’s mercy is still present, guiding us toward a deeper faith and a clearer purpose.

👉 Tune in as we ask the hard questions:
• Why does protection sometimes look like destruction?
• How do we keep trusting when obedience costs everything?
• What fruit can grow out of pain we never asked for?

If you’ve ever felt abandoned, misunderstood, or stripped down to nothing, this episode will remind you that God’s severe mercies are still mercies—shaping your story for His glory.

Conformity always leads to cycles 🔄. In the book of Judges, the Israelites continually conformed to the nations around them—chasing idols 🪙, compromising their identity, and breaking covenant with God. Each time, it led them into oppression ⛓️, and each time God had to raise up a deliverer 🗡️. Their story shows us that conformity doesn’t bring freedom—it traps us in patterns we were never meant to live in. Obedience ✅ breaks the cycle and leads us into God’s peace 🕊️.

📖 Scripture:
“Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals… Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived.” — Judges 2:11, 18
