NOT EVERY CHANEL ICON LOOKS THE SAME

This Series 1 bi-colour dates to circa 1989–1991 — the early Karl Lagerfeld era, when Chanel was still creating variations that feel very different from the familiar classics we know today.

Black quilted lambskin.
Contrast red piping.
24K gold-plated hardware.
A beautifully preserved single-flap silhouette with more than three decades of history behind it.

Pieces like this are exactly why we love vintage Chanel — not because they are the safest choice, but because they carry a character of their own.

From our private collection.
Available upon request through A&B Atelier.

A&B Atelier has always been about more than clothing and music — we’re drawn to objects with character, history and a story of their own.

I wrote this for Pixie.
But maybe it’s also for everyone who’s ever lost a piece of their heart. 🤍
