An evening with TVLO. 🎶📸

From backstage moments and portraits to the energy of their live performance, I had the opportunity to document TVLO’s album release show at The Monarch in Louisville.

A great night of music, creativity, and good company.

Thank you to TVLO for welcoming CulturedKhaki Photography into their world.

TVLO
TVLO is a Louisville KY-based original music ensemble featuring Dan Dilamarter, Gregg Rochman, Dave Rue and Ian Thomas, delivering eclectic sounds spanning an array of genres. The original catalog of songs are frequently “story forward”, telling tales of people and situations from history and folklore. The songs explore memorable melodies woven throughout complex chord progressions evoking styles ranging from 1930s acoustic jazz to 60’s Psychedelic Folk to modern Americana, with tight vocal harmonies across the entire repertoire.

Louisville KY folks make a weird little mix of indie, folk, rock, diy, outsider, etc.

Our next act for the Summer Songwriter Series is another two-fer for y’all—we’ve got Gregg Rochman and Daniel Dilamarter of TVLO joining us this Sunday!

TVLO is an incredible veteran rock band of the Louisville music scene, heavily influenced by the smooth sounds and chordal sophistication of bands like Dire Straits and Steely Dan. If you know me, you know I’m all about those funky chord progressions—and I’m always thrilled to find another Louisville band with that level of compositional intricacy!

Come see them and much more this Sunday, 1 PM at Christ Church Cathedral!
