After 10 years of ownership it’s now time for the TVR to find a new home. I’ve covered nearly 30,000 miles in this car, in doing so I’ve learned to embrace it for its idiosyncrasies and accept it for what it is, profoundly flawed but utterly wonderful (as any proper TVR should be…).

As T350s go I’d say this is a pretty well sorted one. Tasteful specification, Powers 4.3 rebuild and AP clutch only 3000 miles ago, fresh rear suspension components, the dreaded synchro on 5th sorted and new discs and pads all round. I’d dread to think what’s been spent on in it my ownership!

It’s going to be heading to @carandclassic in the next week or so, but till then if anyone you know loves the idea of having one of these brilliant cars then do point them in my direction.

International Masters Publishing info sheet on the TVR Griffith. Swipe to read more.
🏁International Masters Publishing info sheet data🏁
The Griffith is a world away from TVR's kit-car origins. The quality is high, the design outstanding and the performance from its latest 5-liter V8 engine nothing short of staggering.

BEHIND THE WHEEL-"....guarantees excitement."
"More than 300 bhp in a light car that has a short wheelbase guarantees excitement and the Griffith delivers a huge amount of it. Lurid power is only a touch of the throtle away, as the power overcomes the grip of the big rear tires despite the limited slip differential. Before the power-assisted steering became available, it took an acute combination of strength and finesse to control such behavior. You also need a firm hand for the gear shifter and strong leg for the clutch, but the Griffith's breathtaking acceleration makes it all worth the effort."

Tough TVR
Like all TVRs the Griffith has a massive tubular steel backbone chassis (plastic coated to avoid corrosion). The chassis is extended to give side impact protection. Twin wishbone suspension is fitted front and rear and the big V8 engine is set back in the chassis to give virtually equal front-to rear weight distribution.

Best of British

The Griffith's stunning looks don't come from an expensive come Italian styling house or from computer-aided design, but from the eye of TVR boss Peter Wheeler and engineer John Ravenscroft. They sculpted a full-size foam model until they arrived at the Griffith's stunning shape.

The Griffith is just like a modern-day AC Cobra, the concept being a very large powerfu iengine in a cmall convertible Like the Cobra, there's very little to rival the Griffith,
