Whitecliffe Fashion Show 2025 BTS

Backstage has always been one of my favorite places to be. Thank you @d.luxe.photography, for capturing these moments and thank you again to Jin, Rafi, Troy, Huta, and Yusuf for bringing these garments to life🐞

Xiao Hong🐞

Whitecliffe Fashion Show 2025

All photos from @ryanpatrickphotography

Xiao Hong addresses fashion as an expression of identity and connection. This collection stemmed from my curiosity in exploring my cultural heritage. I was adopted from China as a baby and raised in New Zealand. A central element of my sustainable practice has been using natural fibres and natural dye. This decision is not just for the aesthetic; the fabrics used (cotton and silk/cotton) support the relaxed silhouettes of the garments and the rust dye technique created brought in a warm colour and made unique patterns that transformed the bare fabrics into feature pieces.

Thank you again to my models, lecturers, friends, and family for all your support
