Ghost Train was an unmissable outdoor spectacle commissioned by S&DR200. Co-produced in collaboration with Avanti Display, the events in Darlington and Stockton marked 200 years of passenger rail. Around 70 people contributed to the making of this landmark event, which drew an audience of nearly 15,000 across its two performances.

To celebrate this incredible achievement, we commissioned a film that explores the ideas behind the piece, the expertise involved, and the powerful collaboration that brought a project of this scale and ambition to life.

In this snippet, Avanti Display’s Creative Director, Bill Palmer, discusses the opening moments of Ghost Train: The Arrival in Stockton, followed by highlights of the finale and audience reactions.

Eight years ago today, Calderland lit up the Calder Valley with voices, music and stories from the community. 💙

It was a project about place, belonging and resilience in response to the devastating floods of Boxing Day 2015— and it still resonates today.

To everyone who sang, shared and supported, thank you for being part of that incredible journey.

We’re thrilled that some of the Calderland choir are now singing in Life Class, carrying the same community spirit into this new adventure. 🎶

From Calderland to Life Class — voices and stories that connect us all.

🇺🇸Meet our Artists!
In order to create the best possible concept for the children's museum’s exhibition, we have professional artists who support us. The artist direction @team_de_lux (TDL) consists of @tweddlebryan , @vierkantkatrin and Orla Kelly (@earlychildhoodcreativity) .

To ensure that they are flexible and mobile during their stay in Luxembourg, the car dealership @garage.biver has sponsored a car for us!

We thank them for supporting our artists as well as the Children's Museum PLOMM! Stay tuned to find out more about our artists and their work!

A huge THANK YOU to Bryan Tweddle, the "father" of our precious "Lampions".💡Did you know that these "Lampions" were born in 2007, in the context of "Visions of Paradise" ?

"Visions of Paradise" was a small lantern festival as part of the European Capital of Culture 2007 project.☝️

As an artistic director, Bryan Tweddle launched the production of the very first "Lampions" (and countless new ones in the years that followed) in collaboration with our sheltered workshops, helpers from CIGR and volunteers located in Wiltz.🌟
