Not every yoga practice asks you to move your body - enter: Yoga Nidra. The benefits of Yoga Nidra are extensive, and I’ll be talking about them here in the coming weeks, but one of the greatest things about this practice is that you can fully participate lying down on your mat. You could practice in a wheelchair, practice when your period has you laid out, or practice with a severe injury. All you need is your ears. I highly recommend this practice if you crave nurturing, or if taking a yoga flow class at a studio seems intimidating.

So what is Yoga Nidra? It’s commonly known as yogic sleep, and it’s a type of guided meditation strategically designed to put your body to sleep while your mind is awake. You’ll see this in real time for yourself if you practice wearing an aura ring or smart watch. If you’re feeling curious about Nidra - join me at Yoga Moderne every Thursday night at 7:30pm - or keep an eye out for a Nidra/Sound Bath pop-up I’m announcing today with Twinnflame. DM me to get your first class free at Yoga Moderne!! Links in bio. XX

Phone down
Feet on the floor
Slow your exhale
Name 3 things you can feel in your body
Then ask yourself what you actually need right now.

That’s it. Start there.
