It’s been a few weeks since the @the_sydney_fair ! I had a blast as always modelling (very loosely using that word because I feel I was just enjoying wearing these amazing pieces), in the parades and as always getting ready with the other lovely models @7minz_hi , @bluebirdyvintage & Abby was half the fun!
Thanks to the amazing backstage crew @mling_m , @sophieswart , @murphymyrna Jill and of course @sydneyflapper for her amazing and insightful knowledge as we walked the catwalk it was such fun!
Thanks for the extra footage @miss_retro_therapy and @katerinaohohoh

Can you tell my favourite dress was the red sequin gown from @couturavintage ? I loved everything else too- amazing pieces pictured and more were from a number of sellers including @recycology , @pinkelephant_vintage , @twisting_vintage , @breadandbuttervintageshop , @the_vintage_drawer @nellbligh

Last day of @the_sydney_fair was great! Had a lovely few days and will look forward to next year. A few great treasures including the dress which is Valentino thanks to @artedeco_store the glomesh bag from Corrina and Siobhan, vintage Givenchy earrings from a previous fair via @twisting_vintage and fabulous vintage panther bracelet, that you can’t see properly in this pic sadly, from @forever_vintage_shop

Thrift shopping for vintage pieces can be rewarding ! A much loved beauty, this pure silk organza 3 layered skirt from 1980’s Sydney designer @leong.nelson was almost certainly destined for landfill 🫢😳. I just had to restore it !!!
This is part 1 .
Identify the problem areas.
I’m this case there were tears in the hem on all 3 layers and severe separation issues of the layers at 2 points of the waist. Watch the next reel to see how it comes together!
