Felt Like It Puppets kicked of our Bulletin this October with a visit to Yippiefest!

Roving reporters Grey, Chuck and Clamor interviewed Arryth and Paula from Jars of Masonry right before their guest spot on the Toxic Plasmosis talk show. Stick around for part two and hear some of their heir original tunes.

Many thanks to the team who helped put this together: @primitivedestruction , puppeteers Twan, Sydney, Aaron, Eric and Kim. Direction by @rev.punchfizz and camera assistance by Robbie.

See you all @puppetpaloooza in March!

Life has been nonstop but in a good way lately. Completely full of family, friends, adventures and the kind of work the young me never dared dream of. I am exhausted but in it, present, alive, making my little projects and dreaming up bigger ones with friends. All I need is a little meter that tells me when to take a breathe so I don’t tip over into burnout. But strangely every other creative person around me is in a similar situation.

Is capitalism crushing us even harder? Is the unrest in the world driving us to frenetic levels of activity? Did Mayor Brandon put something in the drinking water? Whatever it is, it’s contagious. I really wish we could collectively build in some rest and reflection into our communities, but if that’s not happening I will try to instill it in myself as I go. And also, accept the fluctuations of FOMO & JOMO by staying centered in my own energy and passions. Wish me luck—or send advice—or ask me what I’m reading for inspo.

@fullmoonjam is officially crossed off my list!

I had fun being in my old neighborhood and seeing puppet friends at this event.

There’s ALWAYS something to do in Chicago. No matter the season. GO OUTSIDE AND FIND IT!

Throw back to last week already when we had a bowling party fundraiser with our favorite arts orgs: @comfort_station @homeroomchicago and @highconceptlabs ) at the coolest retro bowling alley in Chicago, @firesidebowlofficial . There was also excellent commentary from @badatsports announcers!

Special thanks to all the arts lovers who came out to support us all, and to @pizzalobo_ for the food and @midwestephemera for the t-shirts.
Oh yeah, and let’s not forget the puppet people who kept the party vibe alive.

Also, everyone was a winner, but Sharaina really cleaned up the awards!🥇🥇🥇🥇

This last weekend members of @puppetpaloooza , and their entourage, took a pilgrimage to that puppet venue of delights (which houses the Sugar Hole) to see Austin -based puppet band Fragile Rock. We even cornered Kyle and Nic long enough to wring some wisdom out of them about Austin, the true purpose of their travel 💨and how they deal with stage fright! Crowd surf, anyone?

Thanks to @co1orclub for making the magic happen in Chicago.

Thanks to @fragilerockband for being the coolest punk puppet band west of the Mississippi, and thanks to @rev.punchfizz , @ericiswhonow , @twizness and myself for having the audacity.

What is there to say after bloopers besides “Come bowl with us!”!?
I guess we could say “August 30th at Fireside Bowl!”
And “Bowlers and spectators will be supporting 4 integral arts organizations in Chicago!” (🤩Us, plus @highconceptlabs , @comfort_station & @homeroomchicago )

And …maybe we’d mention “Pizza, puppets, cool t-shirts, awards, raffle, etc!”

Just one more note —“You don’t want to miss this. Get tickets through the link in our bio or visit our website.😍”

Bonus comment, “We appreciate you!”

Extra hidden bonus: Thanks to Twan and Eric for their puppet time.🙏
