🤸‍♀️ Want a Faster Vault? Start With the Run! ⚡

Small changes in running form can make a BIG difference! 👀💨

Many gymnasts develop running habits that affect their speed and power, including:

❌ Straight or crossing arms

❌ Knees rolling inward

❌ Flat-footed, heel-first running

❌ Toes pointing

❌ Stutter stepping

The key? Better running mechanics start with the arms, and the legs follow! 💪

Using resistance bands helps train arm movement and coordination, while properly spaced wickets help gymnasts develop rhythm, stride length, and speed. Be sure to adjust to their height and running ability. 🏃‍♀️🔥

Because a stronger vault starts long before takeoff!

💬 What do you think matters most in a powerful vault run?

12.50 seconds. The journey continues. ⚡

I always thought I was fast. And yes, I have speed. But sprinting is about much more than just running fast.

There’s still a lot of technique to master.

I’m working on my stride width and the optimal angle between my thigh and lower leg to improve force application, make every ground contact count, and reduce ground contact time.

At 43, I’m still learning, still refining, still chasing those 12.50 seconds over 100m.

Speed gets you started. Technique takes you further. 💨

🔥 New drill: Broad Jumps into 15m Acceleration!

A new exercise, still getting comfortable with it. The ground was a little slippery after the rain, so I had to be extra careful. 🌧️

But this drill definitely has potential! 💥 I like it, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Always learning. Always improving. One step closer to 12.50! ⚡🏃‍♂️

Back to the basics. Sometimes, getting faster means slowing down and working on the little things. @two8bands has been helping me refine my form, improve my technique, and build a stronger foundation as I work toward my track comeback.

SPLIT PUSH PRESS ⚡🏃‍♂️

An explosive movement that develops power, coordination, stability, and efficient force transfer—qualities essential for sprint performance.

Why for sprinters?
• Explosive force production
• Better force transfer
• Unilateral stability
• Trunk control & coordination
• Improved rate of force development

Train power. Transfer force. Sprint faster. ⚡
