🌎⚽ FundPlay Friday: Two Bridges FC

This weekend, the world’s biggest game comes to our backyard as the World Cup Final lands in New Jersey/New York. It’s a powerful reminder of how soccer connects communities across the globe — and how the game’s impact starts long before players reach the world stage.

This week, we’re celebrating Two Bridges FC, a New York City nonprofit using the beautiful game to create opportunity for under-resourced youth. Their model combines high-level soccer development, academic support, and leadership pathways — helping student-athletes grow on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.

Through their no pay-to-play academy model and pathway with Brooklyn FC Academy, Two Bridges is removing financial barriers and opening doors for players to compete, travel, and dream bigger.

As the soccer world turns its eyes to New Jersey/New York, Two Bridges reminds us what the game can do every day: build confidence, create community, and connect young people from the city to the world.

That’s the kind of legacy worth playing for.
