"What we keep coming back to is resilience. Most founders in any category don't make it. In taboo categories, the ones who do have cleared obstacles that have nothing to do with whether their business works: capital that judged them on the category, plumbing that treated them as a risk, platforms that deleted them on sight. Clearing all of that leaves a mark, and it's a mark worth underwriting. The fire that got them through is the same fire that will carry the business, and it is visible, if you know to look for it.

As Janine Kopp puts it, "That's what makes me excited, that nobody else sees the potential. And then here we are, like, holy shit. This is big. And we're feeling it." ....

We’re so honoured to introduce the Parayma Fellows: sixteen leaders working on some of the most complex, root-cause challenges of our time.

From regenerative agriculture to inclusive education, from Indigenous environmental restoration to digital health, grief support, food systems, justice work, and community-rooted innovation - these fellows carry work that is both urgent and deeply human.

This fellowship exists because systems change is rarely simple, quick or linear. It asks for courage, stamina, clarity, and community and too often, changework is done in isolation, under pressure and without the support it actually requires.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce each fellow more fully. For now, we simply want to celebrate this cohort: their lived experience, their expertise, and the transformative work they lead in their regions and ecosystems.

#queering the startup space has never felt (and looked) so good! 🥰 🌈 ✨ This past Tuesday I had the immense honor of representing Mung! @mungtech, a leading AgeTech startup in Oxford, at the amaaazing @i3.investing (un)conference at @googleuk HQ!

💡You might be wondering: What is AgeTech, and why does it matter? 🤔
🫒 The world is rapidly digitizing and aging — being able to use tech has become necessary for surviving in society, and elderly folks make up an increasingly large world demographic.
🫒 But the tech industry overwhelmingly serves younger people. What about our beloved elderly folks? What about us in 30, 40, 50 years?
🫒 Mung! @mungtech addresses the global digital exclusion of elderly folks by revolutionizing and popularizing AgeTech, or tech for the elderly — an industry that has been marginalized and overlooked for far too long. 💚

More than just a networking event, this (un)conference was community in practice — bringing together so many genuine, talented, brilliant founders and funders together across all intersectionalities. 🥹❤️‍🔥

Being a nonbinary Chinese lesbian in the white cishet male dominated tech startup space isn’t easy, to say the least. This (un)conference reminded me that I am not alone — I am supported by the most beautiful and loving community! 🪷💕
