Happy Twosday!!

Today, I read ✌🏾 picture books to my 7th graders, which is a lot in middle school world.

We built our class social contract (an agreement of how we will treat each other) today.

Before drafting our social contract, I read •What if Everybody Did That?• to get them reflecting on their actions.

Once we finished, I read •I Promise• then had each kid sign as their promise to try their best to follow the social contract.

It was a great day!

**A note on age range! Many of these picture books list ages 3-7; 4–8, but I think it’s really subjective! I started reading a lot of these with my kids at age 3, and there are plenty we’ll keep long past the ‘recommended’ age. It’s more about your child’s interest than the number. If the text feels long, you can always paraphrase and still get so much from the story.

**My kids current ages : 4 & 6
