We went home for our traditional celebration of “Hot Ginger Dynamite” and in between ribs, crabs, champagne, cigars and 90’s R&B challenge games, we managed to pull off one of #TwosMotionPortraits (WITH CHILDREN).

We’ve been roommates, we’ve been classmates, we’ve almost been cell mates. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve been at weddings and funerals. We’ve been to the clubs, we’ve been to the churches (sometimes straight from the clubs). We’ve taken breaks, we’ve taken vacations. We’ve fought, we’ve prayed, we’ve figured it out. We’ve been friends for nearly 20 years. Thanks be to God.

We made it home. We came back to where it all started and celebrated how it all began. But this year was different. This year was special. This year we caught up with each other. Yeah, we drank and danced. But we also dapped and hugged...and had thoughtful conversations. This year we made necessary reconnections. Next year... ...we’ll do it again.

I mean it when I say, “I’d go anywhere and take on anyone with these guys.” Each of these men is my brother by choice. So when the time came, there was no way to choose just one of them.
