🎶 There’s still time to join SJYV! 🎶

We’ve officially gotten started, but if you’ve been thinking about joining South Jersey Youth Voices, you are absolutely not too late. 💙

SJYV is for students in grades 7–10 (this is what the group is geared towards, but 6th graders and older are also welcome!) and there are no auditions and no previous choir experience required. You don’t have to consider yourself a “singer” to belong here. If you like music, want to meet people, want to try something new, or just want a place where you can be yourself — I’d love to have you.

And we’re not just going to rehearse and sing together as one big group. One of the things I’m really excited about this year is giving our singers different ways to perform and be involved.

🎤 Solo opportunities for students who want to step out on their own
🎶 Small group opportunities — duets, trios, quartets, etc.
🎼 Full ensemble performances
✨ Opportunities to build confidence, stage presence, musicianship, and just have FUN performing

Some students may want to be front and center. Some may want to sing with a few friends. Some may be perfectly happy standing in the middle of the choir and singing their heart out. All of that is okay.

My goal with SJYV is to create the kind of choir I wish every student could experience — a place where you can come in exactly as you are, make music with other people, challenge yourself, make friends, and leave rehearsal feeling like you were part of something.

We still have room, and registration is still open!

📍 St. Vincent de Paul — Mays Landing
📅 Fridays | 6:00–8:00 PM
🎓 Grades 7–10 (again, this is what the group is geared towards, but 6th graders and older are also welcome!)
🎤 No auditions
💙 All experience levels welcome

If you know a middle or high school student who loves music, has always wanted to try choir, or could just use a place to Sing. Connect. Inspire. — send this their way. ❤️

I genuinely cannot wait to see where this group goes this year. We’re just getting started. 🎶
