🎤Ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show, Espen joined @rmkyachts at a press conference in the Yacht Club de Monaco to unveil the Arcane Project - two 55m concepts developed in collaboration with us, with interiors designed by @giorgio_cassetta.

Arcane Era and Arcane Nova share the same ambition, but explore two very different approaches.

Arcane Era takes a more traditional approach, while Arcane Nova pushes the boundaries with a more radical layout and an exceptionally large sundeck.

Both concepts introduce a new approach to life on board, from the 20-metre Piazza®️ and forward-facing Piazzetta®️ to the panoramic Love Nest®️ and 35-metre RMK Jumbo Deck®️.

Two visions, one ambition: to imagine what the next generation of yachting could look like. 🌊

The YachtAid Global team will once again be at the @antiguascharteryachtshow supporting our education initiatives of the children and communities of the island of Antigua.

Over the past few years, YAG has been able to make a significant impact thanks to the generosity of participating owners, yachts and crew through purchasing humanitarian items that include:

-teaching and learning supplies
-food for school meal programs
-power tools for schools’ trade programs
-air conditioning units for classrooms

In addition to the donations supporting the island’s schools, YachtAid Global also works with community leaders to identify and support underprivileged families in the area through the donation of family home and hygiene kits.

If you are attending the charter show and or just looking to support our work on the island, please DM us here or email us at info@yachtaidglobal.org to learn more about how you can help.

After more than 20 years in yacht sales, I have learned that buying the right yacht is rarely about finding the most beautiful one.

It is about understanding the owner.
How will the yacht actually be used?
Where will she be based?
How many weeks a year will she cruise?
Who will be on board?
What level of crew is required?
What is the realistic annual cost of ownership?
And, perhaps most importantly, what happens when the owner decides to sell?

A yacht can be exceptional and still be completely wrong for a particular owner, this is why I believe a good broker should sometimes slow a client down rather than encourage a purchase.

My role is not simply to find a yacht, it is to help a client make a decision that still feels like the right decision several years later.

After all, buying a yacht is emotional, but the best acquisitions are also very rational ones.

People see the yacht,
They see the beautiful destinations we go to , the jet skis, the Seabobs, the beautiful made cabins and everything that comes with a luxury charter.

Most people who I get chatting to ( family, friends and strangers ) think that’s what makes the experience.
But after spending years working onboard, you realise very quickly that it’s the crew behind it all who truly make the charter.

It’s the crew keeping the yacht immaculate, the beds made, the food coming out, the toys ready and the engines running, and more.. much more!
It’s becoming the nannies( watching the biggest Afrikaans boys buckle to a 5 year old girls needs for attention and seeing a huge protective teddy bear emerge ), the guides and mini travel agents ,logistics experts , the trainers, the entertainers, the photographers and the problem-solvers.

It’s remembering how someone likes their coffee. The table setups that make it feel like a special occasion for every meal and the warm welcomes when they step onboard. Making people feel comfortable, included ,and even when they’re thousands of miles away, somehow still at home.

It’s the early mornings, the late nights and all the work that happens quietly behind the scenes to make everything look effortless. It’s amazing what the crew can accomplish when they have a 24hr turnaround.💪🏽🙌🏽
Every department brings something different, but together they give the yacht its energy, its personality and its heart.

The yacht might be what catches people’s attention.
But the crew are what they remember and keeps them coming back , season after season 🛥️🌍🎉

Yachting gives you access to places most people only dream of seeing.
This was my first time experiencing the Amalfi Coast and Aeolian islands and I was blown away. Filming it like this has given me a deeper appreciation for just how beautiful these places really are.
Waking up for shift and being told to run the tender over , the Solo missions gave me a few extra minutes to take this incredible coastline.

We have become obsessed with finding hidden, unpopulated beautiful areas like this Glacier. After You and Emotional spent the day here not seeing another trace of anyone else. Experiencing yachting like this gives us a true sense of what it must have been like to explore these places for the first time.

After You and Emotional are available for charter. Come and explore with us.
