After yesterdays tragedy at the Athens Flying Week we decided to have a busy day to keep our mind clear so we headed to the Greek Air Force Museum. While visiting a wild fire started on the hills few miles away so we decided to go and chase it. My wife is a great navigator and she got us right on the perfect spot yet again, to get amazing pictures and videos!!!

The Ross Fire in Palo Pinto County has been burning now for 4 days and it has destroyed over 83000 acres. Hundreds of firefighters have been working around the clock to slow down this massive wild wildfire.
Several aircraft have also been dispatched to drop water and fire retardant just like this Neptune Aviation BAe-146 seeing in action yesterday evening.

Living next to NAS Fort Worth has a lot of advantages!! We saw an unknown aircraft approaching from the West so we grabbed our gear and 5 minutes later we were in position. To our surprise this amazing visitor F35C showed up. The bird shows the tail markings of VX-9 Vampires but you can read 461 FLTS on the fuselage.
The 461st Flight Test Squadron (461st FLTS) is the Department of Defense’s lead unit for testing F-35 sensors, weapons, and software across all three variants (A, B, and C). Operating out of Edwards Air Force Base, California, the unit plays a critical role in developing major upgrades like Technical Refresh 3 (TR-3) and Block 4 configurations.
