Brunch is always a little sweeter when it’s shared in celebration of the people who make our community shine.
We were honored to cater the annual Beacons of Light awards banquet in College Station, hosted by the The REACH Project. We are so excited to announce Max Gerall ‘18 as one of our 74th MSC FLC speakers!! Don’t miss out on his talk about the importance of Selfless Service by registering NOW using the link in bio!

About the speaker:
Max Gerall was born in Houston, Texas, and is a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2018. Max is a dedicated social entrepreneur passionate about inspiring others to serve those who serve us. He is committed to transforming lives and lifting individuals and families in Brazos Valley out of multigenerational poverty. He meets this commitment by infusing REACH’s core values of Respect, Education, Achievement, Community, and Hope into all of REACH’s programs. The REACH Project in the Texas A&M community is the first application of his vision, but it will not be the last.

In 2017, as an A&M undergrad, Max founded The REACH Project, a nonprofit organization. An
An unexpected friendship with a cafeteria worker led to his realization that the 3,000 contract
service workers on campus were virtually unknown and unseen, but essential members of the
community. Since graduating in 2018, he has dedicated everything to fulfilling his “life’s
purpose”, which is to engage the collective intellectual wealth, talent, and goodwill of the
university to enhance the quality of life of the greater community.

In 2012, while pursuing his master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Daniel Thomas III spent countless hours working alongside coaches, mentors, and community leaders throughout the Baltimore-Washington area. One experience has stayed with him ever since.

He helped organize a summer football showcase that brought together hundreds of young people and families, along with college recruiters, coaches, and national scouting organizations. Standing there that day, he witnessed something much bigger than sports.

He saw how youth sports could create access to higher education, expand opportunities, and open doors that might not have otherwise existed. Most importantly, he saw how intentional adults and purposeful partnerships could help shape the trajectories of young people’s lives.

That experience never left him.

As a former college student-athlete, professor at Texas A&M University, and scholar whose research explores the intersection of sports and civic engagement, Dr. Thomas has spent years thinking about how youth sports can be leveraged as a vehicle for leadership development, community impact, and opportunity creation.

Less than a year ago, that vision began taking shape through an idea: the Sports Leadership for Community Impact Conference.
On April 25, that idea became reality.

What made the inaugural conference so meaningful was not simply that it sold out. It was seeing leaders from professional sports, education, nonprofits, research, athletics, and community organizations gather around a shared purpose.

Centered around this year’s theme, “The Multiplying Effect of Purposeful Partnerships,” the conference created space for new relationships, new ideas, and new possibilities at the intersection of youth sports, leadership, and civic engagement.

This was an important milestone, but it is only the beginning.
The TRACE Lab is grateful for the opportunity to continue building spaces where research, practice, and purposeful partnerships can come together to create lasting impact through youth sports.

Honor the past. Educate the present. Trace the future.

Still on a high from tonight! ✨
I had the opportunity to pitch at the Shark Tank Pitching Competition hosted by REACH and walked away with 3rd Place + a check! 💰👏🏽

Of course I had my eyes on 1st place, but a win is a win, and I’m beyond grateful for the experience, the connections, and the opportunity to represent my business in the room. Every opportunity to grow, learn, and elevate is a step forward, and tonight was definitely a WIN. 🙌🏽

Thank you to REACH for creating spaces that empower entrepreneurs and small business owners to dream bigger and keep pushing forward. This is only the beginning! 🚀

Special shoutout to @dani_ad2012 and Damien for being my models! I appreciate the support! 🫶🏽💕

Legacy is easy to talk about… but it’s built in stages.

First, you have to accept where you are.
Then you have to grow into who you need to become.
And finally, you have to maintain what you’ve built.

A lot of people want legacy, but skip the process.

I had the opportunity to share this with the REACH homeownership program, and it reminded me how important it is to stay connected to the right environment and the right people.

If you’re serious about ownership, growth, and building something that lasts, get around like-minded individuals who are on the same path.

If you’re ready to take that next step—connect with REACH.
And if you want guidance on your journey, reach out.
