Arizona 23 October 3013 Turned down the offer of a special last meal. "It's just another meal, and there's nothing special about the day to me." ... Page after page of individual descriptions as we prepare the gallery guide for Julie Green's The Last Supper.

This semester is over, and I couldn't be more thankful for the things I've learned. Photography is so much more then just knowing how to take a pretty picture, but also the things that go in to the photo before you click the shutter. I learned to slow down, and pay attention to every detail that was in my frame. The 4x5 camera taught me that film isn't dead, and is going to stay here a long time. It also taught me how to look at a photo past the physicality part of the image. I learned how to look at high lights and shadows in the real world to better understand how the film would capture what I was seeing with my own two eyes. I always have to remind myself that I'm 20 something, going to art school, and that I have so much more life to live. With only two more semesters left before I receive a bachelors degree, I am overly excited about the work I can still make before my time at Texas State is up.
This photo is one of fifteen moonlight towers that illuminate Austin's night sky. #4x5 #illford #delta100

No sneak peek! Come out tomorrow (5pm) to see our Thesis exhibition: LIPSERVICE in the flesh! I finally committed to this "no camera" photography and you don't want to miss it!

Shout to all of my professors that helped me get to this point.
