MEET THE MAKERS: Tiffany Yates & Sarah Hanson Meet ceramic artists Tiffany Yates and Sarah Hanson, sharing a tent at this year’s market! Tiffany Yates is a maker, ceramist, and illustrator working out of Studio 23 at LibertyTown Arts Workshop. Her practice draws inspiration from medical and biological sciences, blending anatomy, biology, and humor to highlight the beauty, oddity, and wonder of the natural world. Sarah Hanson is an architect and potter based right here in Fredericksburg. Bringing her structural eye to clay, she crafts functional pieces featuring sgraffito—carving through layers of slip to create intricate patterns and images meant to be enjoyed every day. 👇 Read their full artist statements in the comments below! Swipe through to check out Tiffany’s biological-inspired art alongside Sarah’s carved sgraffito pottery! 📸 Don’t miss out on visiting their shared booth at the Throwdown! Come meet the makers, shop unique handcrafted pieces, and enjoy live pottery demonstrations.  🗓️ Saturday, Nov 14 | Hurkamp Park 📍 FXBG Pottery Throwdown  📲 Follow their work: @tyates.found ✨ Follow this account to meet all of our featured potters leading up to market day!  #FXBGPotteryThrowdown #FredericksburgVA #FXBG #ShopLocalFXBG #MeetTheMaker
