An altogether too short, and probably somewhat late summary of some of the wonderful moments that I am so grateful for this year. Once again, thank you all so very, very much.

It's been one hell of a summer. This has probably been one of the most diverse summers of my life. I've been outside in temperatures down to 20 below zero, and outside in 105 degree heat. I've been fortunate enough to get the opportunity to travel up and down the West Coast, all the way from Alaska, to Washington, Oregon, and California. Most of all, however, I got to spend this time with some of the best folks on the planet, who I love a lot. I'm very grateful for every adventure, misadventure, joke, and type two fun that these folks have shared with me. And while I'd love to settle down in Oregon for a bit, it looks like the year has one last great adventure in store for me as I'll be traveling down to Peru for the next four months. This has been a summer for the books. Thanks for spending it with me!

It sounds cliche, but just showing up and putting one foot in front of the other is the key to probably most hard/important things in life. You can spend a lot of time agonizing over the details, but I'd argue there's a lot to be said for just going out and figuring it out as you go. Anyway, thanks Tyler for making me look like a cool mountaineer.😘

As I wrap up the first two decades of my life, I appreciate the time to reflect. I want to thank all the wonderful people that have made the last twenty years so great. I can only fit so much in 10 pictures, but I want to thank every one of you, from the bottom of my heart, for making so many wonderful memories with me. I look forward to decades more.

I've been thinking a lot about risk management in the mountains vs. in my everyday life, and I think the comparison has highlighted how much normalcy can skew with our perceptions of risk. Ultimately, every choice entails risk, to a degree we'll never be certain of, but there's certainly value in considering things carefully and going with your gut. I think what I'm trying to say is do what you love and address risks as necessary. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk lmao.
