apparently we had more to say. who would’ve thought. 😂

if you’d like to see us chatting some more (this time with people other than each other, but with just as much fun and probably a bit more substance), we’d love to see you at our first event!

comment ROOM and we’ll add you to our waitlist. 🫶🏼

Come straight from work. Come from the beach.
Grab your welcome drink, get something to eat, meet someone new and settle in before we bring everyone together for the conversation.

And when we say everyone is welcome, we mean it.

You don’t need a certain job title.
You don’t need to be an entrepreneur.
You don’t even need to know anyone.

The only thing we ask you to bring is CURIOSITY.

Listen to perspectives that might be different from your own, ask questions, share your thoughts.

No pressure to pitch yourself. Just good people and interesting chats!

See you on the 28 of October.💙

meet your hosts 🤓

Before we start introducing you to our speakers, our first topic and everything we have planned for the 28th, we thought you should probably know who’s actually going to be sitting in those host chairs. 😂

So hi, we’re Tyla & Rita! 👋🏻

And apparently the best way to introduce ourselves was to put each other on the spot with a little Q&A 😂

Consider us officially introduced. 🫶🏼 😎

We thought we’d found the home for our event series… 💔

We spent hours at the venue today, we talked through all the details with the person we’ve been in touch with, all of us got very excited, we filmed our first content on the rooftop and basically started picturing the whole evening there.

And then we found out there had been a miscommunication and the space we’d had in mind isn’t actually available to us.

Are we disappointed? Very. 🥲
Are we giving up? Obviously not.

So instead of figuring this one out quietly behind the scenes, we thought we’d ask YOU.

Cape Town, where should we make room? 💙

We’re looking for a space for around 50–70 people, ideally open and airy, with a bar, space for buffet-style food and maybe even a beautiful view. We want it to feel special, intimate and a little unexpected (ideally somewhere not everyone and their aunty has already been to). 🙂

Know a hidden gem? Own a space? Know someone who knows someone?

Drop it below or send us a DM. 👀 🫶🏻

We’d hope that you want to give yourself the world 🌍
…but remember there’s other planets too. 🪐

So we’re making room for more. 😎

More people you wouldn’t normally meet.
More perspectives you haven’t considered.
More honest conversations.
More questions. More connection. More possibility.

make room is a new speaker & community event coming to Cape Town with an interactive panel for open-minded people. 🎤

come curious. grab a bite and a drink. join the conversation. meet someone new. and see what happens. 🍸

First event: 28th October
Only 50 spots available.
Comment ROOM to join our waitlist. 🔥

Snaps of August ❤️‍🔥
A lot of laughter
A lot of sweat
A lot of growth
A couple of tears
A few mistakes
Some boogies
Moments of solitude and reflection
