On Monday night, Ottawa was struck with a devastating Tornado. Officials have now classified it as an EF2 tornado with wind speeds between 111 and 135 MPH. The tornado touched down around 15th St. and Eisenhower, just a block away from our own Rock Creek student housing. The tornado made its way to Main Street where it uprooted trees, tore the roof off the T-Mobile building, and nearly destroyed the Knights Inn. The tornado traveled 7 miles in total. The damage to residential areas was severe. Power was reported out at the university for almost 12 hours.
Thankfully, there have been no reported casualties and injuries have been minor. The community and first responders continue to build back stronger than ever.

Not the way I wanted to end my freshmen year to say the least but sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and when I did I realized I had a decent first year of collegiate bowling especially with all the pressure that comes along during the season. Regardless I am thankful for every opportunity I had during this season and most importantly extremely thankful for my best friends I met along the way, without them I would not be in the position I’m in today!

Where’s my Covid year?? That’s a wrap for my high school career. Posted a 216.5 career average. 222 average this season. High school bowling has brought me so many amazing memories. A lot of my best friends have come from bowling. I can’t thank my family, friends and coaches enough for all the help they’ve given over the past 4 years. I want to especially thank my grandpa. I couldn’t have been here without all the time and energy you spent over the last 12 years. I’ll miss high school bowling so much but I can’t wait for the future @bakerbowling
