Wanted to highlight my boy @tylerarafet6

Been through a lot these last couple years, committed to the University of Oregon, and has only increased his work ethic since then.

Sent me these videos of our drills today after not being able to get outside to throw due to rain.

Any young player out there that wants to know what it takes to get to the next level should take a page out of his book. Mad respect for the kid! Big things ahead

⛽️Using Voltra for eccentrics is a nice offseason add for pitchers. Eccentrics can be a lot for the arm to recover from, but in periods of no or low throwing volume, it’s a great opportunity to get the shoulder jacked for the next season.

I say this often to my clients, most coaches and athletes don’t even know what “arm care” is. It’s become a sloppy buzzword attached to every arm related exercise. Greasing out 2 sets of haphazard bands isn’t doing jack for taking “care” of your arm. Your throwing arm isn’t some bizarre extraterrestrial entity.. it literally trains just like the rest of you. Doing bands at low intensity is like doing air squats for your legs.. it’s not wrong and it can have a use, but also why would you expect it to make you significantly stronger?

⛽️ This is a rare time of year to power up the shoulder with overload eccentrics. The instructions were to choose a weight that was slightly too heavy to do with one hand, put into place with two hands, then do a 5-6 second eccentric. These are nice when you’re not in a heavy throwing time period for building up a resilient shoulder for the next season 💪
