Jackson Wade Larson is EIGHTEEN today and I couldn’t be more proud and weepy and thankful and devastated and honored and impressed and joy-filled all at once. I deeply respect who you are @jacksonwlarson. Your tenacity and grit and heart are an unstoppable combination.

The Mayor of Everywhere, you own nearly every room you enter. You know who you are, you always have. You love big and you make our family complete in ways I never knew possible.

You’ve always been a force and in the early days I wondered if we would both make it out of your childhood in one piece. And here we are, 18 years later, we more than made it. You are one of my favorite humans and I can’t wait to celebrate you today. Happy Birthday JW.

June really is the season of my people.

It’s very fitting that my bonus mom would have my brother on HER birthday 21 years ago. That’s exactly the kind of selfless person she is.

I have the coolest family ever. I got lucky with two sets of parents, three brothers, one sister, and a whole lot of love between all of us. But this is a birthday post!!

Noelle, looking through pictures of us over the years hit me with the biggest wave of nostalgia. Being around you has always felt like the safest, silliest place to be fully myself. You make people feel funny because you genuinely laugh at even the not so funny jokes. You make people feel at home the second they see you and you keep conversations flowing effortlessly because you truly care about people to your core. You are one of a kind in the best possible way.

Tyler, I remember babysitting you when you were like 3 years old, and now you’re helping me pick up heavy furniture with your truck and somehow make it a core memory for us. You have the most beautiful servant’s heart and show up for not just the people you love but anyone in need of love. You are one of the most extraordinary humans I know, full of wisdom, kindness, and a truly generous heart. This boy shows up at my house unannounced just because he was in the neighborhood. That’s the kind of person he is.

Happy birthday to my two favorite Geminis <3
