Did you finish watching The Invite on HBO Max? Did you love watching a relationship dramedy set in one location? Are you looking for something similar? Well, check out "I Agree With You" on Prime Video. It's a relationship dramedy set in one apartment, only in this film, the apartment is in Chicago and there are just two people. There were supposed to be four, but well, you need to watch to find out why they don't show up. #theinvite #hbomax #primevideo #indiefilm #chicagofilm #streaming

Did you watch A24’s “The Invite” by yourself? Did you only realize your mistake when you told your partner how funny Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen, Ed Norton, and Penélope Cruz are in it? We have all been there. You can resolve this situation by watching “I Agree With You” together.
While “The Invite” features four characters working out their issues in a single apartment, “I Agree With You” focuses on just two.

Filmmakers chatting beside the river.

Last year, we screened “I Agree With You” at @sheboyganfilmfestival. I had such a great time at the fest that I went back up as an audience member. One of the highlights, both this year and last year, was to “talk shop” with filmmakers.

That said, usually when I talk to the 3 guys in this photo, it is about filmmaking. Which, don’t get me wrong, I love. Still, in between screenings the 4 of us grabbed dinner and just hung out. It was awesome to just laugh and hang out. Although, we did miss old Scott Cupper. I guess we will all be back for take 3 in 2027.

See you there?

In 2018/2019, I talked to my buddy Jake about an idea I had for a screenplay. I outlined it, and he was interested enough in that to say "go write it.

By the beginning of 2020, I had done just that, and my other buddy Scott read it too. He liked it. So we were going to make it and then a pandemic happened. So I worked on it some more and eventually my longtime buddy Tyler read it and liked it. And eventually, oh let's say 2022...?, the four of us started a company and we're actually, really, for sure gonna finally make it.

We raised money from super supportive friends and family and collaborators and fellow artists, and by 2023, we shot the damn thing with the best crew (Jamie, Anna, Joe, Garrett, Sebastian) , acting alongside my old buddy Stevie, shepherded by my new buddy John who produced it.

In 2024, Dan, editor extraordinaire, edited it while we continued to post on social media and promote the thing furiously.

In 2025, we premiered it. We took it on the road and met numerous talented folks along the way.

And in 2026, it's available for everyone to watch. It's a thing that exists, and I am so damn proud.

I hope you like it. (Link in my bio!)
