For the past few days, I’ve been taking the time to reflect on my time with HarCo Hockey for the past 4 years in high school. In my freshman year, I started my career with Bel Air before it became HarCo, I only played one season which was my rookie year. Looking back on my first year in the MSHL, it was a learning experiment about how high school hockey really is and develop not just as a player on the ice but as a person on and off the ice. I will absolutely never forget senior night in 2020 where we upset the top seed Fallston 5-2. Sophomore year didn’t have a season due to COVID 😐 During the 2021-2022 season in my junior year, I’ve now played for HarCo my second team in 3 years, I’ve spent my whole year on JV last year which literally gave me the confidence back to be prepared for my senior year, and it definitely did as I played both levels for my senior year and definitely “emerged onto the scene” during my final year! I especially want to thank everyone who’s been supporting me during all of my years playing high school hockey and you guys know who you are and mostly my coaches and teammates as well who have given me the opportunity to have made me be the person who I am today and I’m glad that I get to show it to them in the locker room and onto the ice. As every high school athlete would say, “playing a high school sport is a once in a lifetime opportunity” and I’m so lucky that I took that opportunity where I made lots of friends along with my current and former teammates and players from the other team who I’ve played during my time teams like Broadneck, South River, Severna Park, Kent Island and much more. And to all of the future HarCo players that are coming in to make your rookie season next year and all of the returning players next year and forward, I wish you guys nothing but the best! You guys are a great group and you guys will do great donning the blue and gold! Thank you HarCo for the best 4 years of my life!
