Depot Through the Years 🚂

A find from our archives, and a reason to gather again! Frank McGuinness’s Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me was part of the Depot’s 1994 summer season. On November 14, Dylan Duffy, Peter Corley, and Tyler Nye bring it back for a staged reading in our lobby.

Winner of the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Foreign Play and a Tony nominee for Best Play, this funny and deeply moving drama follows an American, an Irishman, and an Englishman held hostage in Beirut, who turn to humor, imagination, and an unlikely friendship to survive.

As we begin sharing Depot Through the Years, we’re revisiting the people, plays, and moments that have shaped our theatre. Swipe for a look inside the 1994 playbill, featuring Peter Aylward, Thomas Bolster, and Michael O’Gorman, under the direction of Katie Damp. Did you see that production, work behind the scenes, or recognize a familiar name? We’d love to hear your memories!

Join us November 14 at 6 PM in the Depot Theatre lobby. Donations accepted at the door.

HAPPY BELATED CLOSING TO THE CAST AND CREW OF THE 39 STEPS @lakegeorgedinnertheatre !

This past weekend the summer season closed and we had another beautiful set that came together so nicely thanks to the Master Carpenter Mike, the Producer @bridget.dunigan, the Technical Director @stevenrooke and rest of the amazing team. I was able to paint everything before I left, but I am so amazed with how everything turned out in my absence. Also to Rachel for making the set come to life with her lighting!

Thank you @lakegeorgedinnertheatre, Jarel, Sara, and Bridget for bringing me back this season. It’s always amazing working with you all! Also can we get a little commotion for that beautiful floor that lasted all season. Hand painted by yours truly 😉

It’s been one week since we closed Come From Away.

This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career: the work, the story, and most of all, this incredible company of actors. I’m so grateful to the entire team who made it possible.

And getting to have my son see me perform on stage for the first time made it even more special.

It took a village to make this happen, and I’ll be endlessly grateful to The Professor and @jzbelle171 for stepping up in such a big way.

“You are here.”

And just like that… we’ve reached the final boarding call. ✈️❤️

What an incredible journey with Come From Away at the Adirondack Theatre Festival. I loved sharing the stage with such a wonderfully talented cast and to have worked alongside an amazing crew who brought this beautiful story to life night after night.

Thank you to the entire Adirondack Theatre Festival team for creating such a special place to make theatre. This one will stay with me for a long time.

Until the next flight… ❤️✈️
