Top view of my in progress filigree dome piece from @tymcewen. This piece is probably about halfway done. Excited and nervous for that next session 😬

Here’s my organic filigree noggin piece from @tymcewen all healed up. Probably only about half done with this piece, so I’ve got some brutal hours ahead of me 😅

👽I’m honestly not a big gamer, but I can across this game Scorn on #ps5 The game is like walking through a world created by @h.r._giger … all of the environments are influenced and modeled based on his biomech. I haven’t played to much of the actual game because I’m too busy exploring these worlds in 3D and taking in all the structures and different shapes. If you’re a biomech artist or a fan of biomech I would definitely recommend checking this game out just for the inspiration. We’re in a new wave of technology that literally has brought this art form to life in a way that we can explore it digitally, in high resolution and actually capture every single angle of what’s going on. These are just a few random screenshots, there’s tons more. I’d highly recommend any of my bio friends to check this game out. There’s also a book available of the art, but exploring it for yourself is definitely a lot more captivating and inspiring!

This is the longest my hair has been in years 😅 it’s been driving me nuts not shaving it since I got tattooed a week ago, so I went to @mammothbarberco and had my good friend @beauguenin set me up with a straight razor shave. Highly recommend this shop and Beau for a haircut. Anyways, here’s my head basically fully peeled after that session with @tymcewen.

Little time lapse action of my session with @tymcewen last Sunday. As you can probably see, this was a rough, uncomfortable session for me, and my eyes watered a lot. But such is life. It’s all part of the process.

Yesterday I flew into Phoenix to visit the new @theblindtigertattoo location so @tymcewen could put some hours in on this noggin. This was one of those sessions that humbled me a bit. I never go into any session cocky, because I honestly don’t know what to expect, but sometimes they just hit harder than others. I’m so grateful to have such a great human making my head tattoo and whole suit for me. If you’re into organic tattoos, I highly recommend hitting Ty up for something of your own.

@tymcewen finished this back piece in November 2018. Like @ericjamestattooer told me once, your back piece is the enchilada of your suit, and I’m glad I did it right and went big with a great artist. At this point in time I’d still planned on getting tattooed by others, but Ty is such a killer artist and friend, and I wanted a whole suit from him. This has held up great. Go to a great artist and keep your work out of the sun, and it’ll look great for years.
