We find love in girlhood, it starts there. In braiding each other’s hair and little garden gifts. It was all to say, I love you, though we didn’t know that then. That this kind of love would cure the long winters or the deepest grief. That it would show up at our door, with food, or flowers, borrowed outfits, or coffee. That this love would rally for us, think of us, hold us in our sorrow and celebrate us. That even when empty this love would leave you full. It’s also our first heartbreak, a world ending when we weren’t chosen back. Because we dreamed of this love before we knew what we were searching for. Someone to write chapters with, make memories with, walk us home in this messy and beautiful life. These women choose each other every day, even when apart. We knew as girls that this love existed. We just didn’t know then, how wonderful it would be.”

The most beautifully fitting poem for the photos from our girls trip a couple weeks ago 🥹 find the friends that make you feel alive, even on your worst days. Thank you for being our group photographer Ty and thank you so much for all of you girls making sure I had pictures I loved of myself as well, because I’m always on the other side of the camera 😂❤️
