Smol Cathy, 17 years ago. This was on the set of my first gig as a licenced make-up artist, straight out of make-up school, working on french symphonic metal band @whyzdomofficial first video. My most important job though was to sing during the very long drive between Paris and Culan medieval castle to keep the bassist and guitarist awake. They soon asked me to join the choir. But after checking the songs music sheets, I was adamant to write my own lines, so it was best for everyone I just stayed as crew, doing hair, make-up and helping with outfits by wonderful @vultusmag . I made so many great friends during this shoot. My dear @tyrell_eldon who probably took this picture and keeps making me laugh. @meezeri for beeing so sweet. People who are not here but in my heart. @constance_ame.melomane who now fronts @attraction_theory_official . And I am so grateful they stood by me when my health took a bad turn. I watched most of my friends and network walk away but these guys have constantly asked me to work on their videos and live shows in a way or another and I learnt so much. And here I am 17 years later. I am happy I allowed myself to go back to music, to repair my voice, to take loads of lessons in singing, composing, writing, marketing. I started publishing my music in 2019. Just out of curiosity. Somehow you found me, supported me, bought my music, pushed me to keep going. I still can’t wrap my head around this. Smol Cathy was always playing Nymphetamin by @cradleoffilth in train stations and old churches. Playing Monkey Island theme on the flute in the parcs in Paris. Singing Theatre of Tragedy in the streets. Music always was a part of me. But deciding to share it with the world was a big, scary step. It was worth it. I don’t care much for fame, but if my music makes someone day better, my heart is full. So again, thank you to everyone who has made this journey wonderful. There is a lot coming, for everyone’s taste: - an acoustic album - a gothic metal album/symphonic metal in the vein of my first single Drama Queen - a gothic doom album with @spellofenchantress - songs for other artists Follow so you don’t miss out! #symphonicmetal #womenofmetal
