It’s never a bad thing to let ourselves remember what it was like to see our heroes as children. My first introduction to #superman was via my late uncle Stephen who used to babysit me while my parents were working. He would play the 1940’s Fleischer cartoon and 1978’s “Superman: The Movie” (staring Christopher Reeve) along with 1988’s Tim Burton “Batman”, and while batman was super cool, Clark Kent was always my favorite.
If you would have told 4 year old me that I would one day be able to dress up as Superman and make memories of the character for (at this point) presumable hundreds if not thousands of people through my cosplay work, I would have peed my pants with excitement. This character has undeniably helped shape me into the man I am today and given me a clear standard of morality I strive toward every day. I can’t begin to describe how deeply meaningful my time in the blue and red has been and continues to be.

Excalibur Con photo dump

So apparently I never posted any photos from Excalibur Con? My bad 😅 Here's a few of my fave

Also shout out to my bestie @mashateerscosplay for coming to join me as I tabled for a con for the first time! I could not have done it without you, and not just because you are way better at talking to children than I am

Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it. This is the rule of two.
“Peace is a lie. There is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.”

Every day is an opportunity to change your trajectory; every moment, a choice. Our traumas do not define us unless we let them. Focus on gratitude, your strength of character, or your loved ones. Focus on the goodness you want to see in world and ask yourself how you can be a part of creating it. This planet is a troubled place, there is not doubting that, but if we all try to be a little kinder, a little more patient, positive, empathetic, and gentle, our this tiny blueish green space marble we call home, can and will be all the better for it.
