One year ago, almost exactly to the day, my friend and brother, Tyrek, collapsed at this very spot during our weekly basketball games. Tyrek had a cardiac arrest mid-game and was lifeless on the court. Thankfully through CPR and an AED, we were able to shock him back to life.

Today, was Tyrek’s first time back playing with us. And we’re celebrating not only God saving Tyrek’s life but all that God is doing in his new life!

Forever grateful. I cannot believe this is my life, and these are the people I get to be surrounded with and call friends and family. I’ll say it forever. God has been so kind to me🫶🏾
