POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Really happy to have had these peeps by my side today as we did the Think Tank for @bridgesformusic and the @thedailymeds_ discussing the importance of Who Pays for mental health solutions in the music industry?

Hearing stories on sobriety, awkwardness, and the things that need to change, and potential solutions for the future was inspiring.

Collectively deciding that we need more funding, more free therapy for artists, and a stronger community on this focus.

Huge thanks to Keri and Bridges for Music, and The Artotel for making this happen

First session at the Artoel done ✅️

Second session: off to host my first LIVE DOSE mediation joined by @barbaratuckersings tomorrow at the Andaz Hotel.

MEET YAMZ @ AFRO LAB DAY 2026

From Langa, Cape Town, to dancefloors across Europe and Asia.

Yamz is a DJ, vocalist and cultural curator with Cameroonian–South African heritage. Working behind the decks and on the mic, she connects African rhythms with storytelling, cultural preservation and the representation of Black women in music.

Her journey includes appearances at Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand, Garbicz in Poland and Berlin’s KaterBlau, alongside performances in Ibiza, Barcelona and Amsterdam.

That’s why we invited her to ASK THE INDUSTRY. Yamz brings international performance experience and a creative practice grounded in her roots opening up conversations about navigating different scenes, representing your culture and developing your own artistic voice.

How do you take your sound into new spaces? What does it mean to build an artist project around your identity? And which questions are you facing along the way?

Bring them into the room for an honest exchange shaped by different experiences in music.

19:55 - ASK THE INDUSTRY

23.10.2026
18:00–21:00
Welthaus Dortmund
Rosental 1
44135 Dortmund

Free workshop tickets at www.barulho.world

Food and drinks will be provided throughout the Lab Day.

At 21:00, we’re heading straight to Junkyard for @barulho.clubrave and continuing the night together.

A special thank you to @inter.kultur.ruhr Interkultur Ruhr, @rvr.ruhr Regionalverband Ruhr and @mkw.nrw the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia for making this project possible, and to @welthaus_dortmund for supporting us by providing the space for this year’s Afro Lab Day.

Afro Lab Day is presented by Afro Electronic Music Summit and realized by @barulho.world

Learn together. Connect. Ask questions. Then rave together.

See you at the Lab.

This is NOT a panel!

This is a solid line up of industry minds opening up conversation to the room about who will actually pay to solve our current mental health crisis?

Where does the money come from?

Bridges for Music and The Daily Meds host this all important conversation to help us open up about the problem no-one wants to talk about.

What replaces alcohol money? What does a sober night out need to be worth a ticket? These questions matter.

Guests and the audience sit together on the floor and anyone can speak and share their ideas.

In the room: Yamkela, Natalie Lauraine, Ronnie Traynor, Emerald, Jackie Queens and Timanti

Thursday 22 Oct, 14:15, art’otel Amsterdam. Donations support Bridges for Music’s school in Langa, South Africa.

Join us! It's free and open to all

Congratulations to all the DJs who made this year’s @djmagofficial TOP 100 DJs list and a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to support us here at Bridges For Music. ❤️

Thanks to your generosity and support, we’ve exceeded our fundraising goal! We couldn’t be prouder to see the global dance music community come together to make such a difference. A reminder that the future of dance music is in good hands.

This marks our second year partnering with @djmagofficial on this campaign and this one was particularly special, with our very own @bridges.academy alum @u.yamz taking to the stage and playing her first-ever set at @unvrsibiza what a moment!

Our donation link is still live, so there’s still time to support the campaign and help us create more opportunities for the next generation of talent.
