It’s Wednesday at 6 PM and you’re already thinking you “fell off” your wellness routine…

Your mental health doesn’t need perfection, it needs compassion.

Summer schedules are different.

Vacations happen.
Life gets busy.
That doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

One healthy meal. One walk. One mindful breath. One moment to unplug. It all counts.

No pasa nada si hoy no fue perfecto. Tu bienestar no se mide por un solo día.

Poko poko, bo ta yega….

Take care of your mind. Be kind to your body. Give yourself grace.

There isn’t one right way to spend your vacation.

Some of us rest. Some of us organize. Some of us keep checking our email. And some of us are a little bit of everything.

Recovery looks different for everyone…and that’s okay.

Which one are you?
¿Y tú? ¿Cuál eres?

This past year in the AFY program has truly changed my life.

When I started, I never imagined how much I would grow, not just academically, but as a person. I learned to open my heart to others, step outside my comfort zone, and embrace opportunities I once thought were beyond me. Every project, every challenge, and every conversation became a lesson that shaped who I am today.

Graduating cum laude is something I'm incredibly proud of, but what means even more to me is the person I've become along the way. I had the privilege of learning from inspiring professors and advisors and sharing this journey with classmates who made every moment unforgettable.

This year also taught me to face my deepest fears instead of running from them. I discovered strength I didn't know I had, and that strength has given me the confidence to create new opportunities and believe in myself.

To everyone who was part of this journey, thank you. And to AFY, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and helping me become the person I am today. This isn't the end, it's the beginning of a new chapter, and I'll carry these memories and lessons with me forever. ❤️🎓✨

Protecting your peace is the plan for this weekend….

Not every text needs a reply.
Not every invite needs a yes.
Not every opinion deserves your energy.

Choose rest. Choose boundaries. Choose you.

Bo tranquilidad ta importante. Cuida bo pas y duna bo mes e descanso cu bo merece.

Log off if you need to. Touch some grass. Drink some water. Get some sleep. Your future self will thank you.

Have a peaceful weekend.

The semester may be over for the UA, and while it’s still ongoing for IPA and EPI, the growth, resilience, and lessons remain.

To every student, teacher, and staff member: thank you for your dedication, perseverance, and commitment throughout the semester.

Celebrate the victories. Learn from the challenges. Honor the effort.

Rest. Reflect. Recharge.

Bo esfuerzo ta conta. Sigi cuida di bo mes.

Whether you’re pulling all-nighters, balancing work and classes, or wondering why you signed up for this in the first place... you’re not alone.

Remember:
Rest is productive.
Progress is progress.
And asking for help is a power move, not a weakness.

Un tiki descanso no ta haci bo floho. Cuida bo mes, pasobra bo bienestar ta hopi importante.

Finish the semester strong, but don’t forget to take care of the person who’s making it all happen: you..

Happy Monday

As we begin a new week remember this:

Not every door, opportunity, or expectation is meant for you to walk through.

Sometimes wellness is not about doing more…it’s about choosing more intentionally.

Before you step into something, pause and ask yourself:

➕ Does this give me energy?
➖ Or does it take it away?

You are allowed to protect your time, focus, and energy without guilt.

This practice is grounded in boundary-setting theory, which emphasizes the importance of recognizing personal limits and making intentional choices to protect emotional and cognitive well-being.

No todos los espacios son para ti. Elegir con conciencia también es cuidarte.
