About three years ago I was given the opportunity to lead one of the most exciting ventures at the University of Alabama. As the first Program Manager of @ua.space and the BAMA-1 project, I was so hopeful that I would be at the university to see Alabama put their first satellite into space. Instead, I was able to lay the foundation and lead that first year team for the next two teams to come in and step up. Well, step up they did!

Today at 11 CST starts the coverage for the 12-3 CST launch window of the @astraspace rocket that is taking BAMA-1 to orbit. I could not be more proud of the students, advisors, and sponsors that made this happen. I want to give a special shout out to @inoonan337 for being there from the very beginning and seeing this through. And I want to give another shout out to @abby_feeder for leading the team this past year to the point we are at now.

I am so proud of each and every one of you for putting your names in the history books of Alabama and space exploration itself.

Our very own @simran27__ attended AIAA’s Sci-Tech Forum 2020 in Orlando, Florida in January where she was able to meet a lot of inspiring women in aerospace and representatives of WoAA!

She was also invited to be one of the prestigious members of the Diversity Scholars Program of Aurora Flight Science Boeing Company!
We are so proud of you!

My internship this summer with @lockheedmartin has been an absolute dream. I’ve wanted to work for LM for as long as I can remember, and I am finally getting to live out the goals I set for myself as a little girl. By pure chance and networking, I was given the amazing opportunity to join the LM team at the #aiaaAviation conference in Atlanta a few weeks back. Hearing the history of the F-35 and meeting with people from all over the country only further confirmed that LM really is the place for me. I’ve been so lucky and blessed with the opportunities I’ve gotten and continue to get this summer, and can’t wait to see where next year takes me!! #rolltide #aiaa #uaaiaa #f35simulator
