Dr. Anver and Dr. Loh spent the last few days at the #AAOMS2026 national oral surgery meeting learning how to improve patient experiences, outcomes, and safety! They connected with old friends and professors, briefly explored Seattle, and of course ate a ton of great food!

This isn’t mentioned much - in any textbook for that matter. The notching at the inferior border can be felt and seen by some patients that have very thin soft tissues especially around the lower face. And this becomes very obvious when patients look at themselves with the right lighting and shadowing. This BSSO modification may make your split a bit slower to initiate-but should save your patient from a poor aesthetic outcome. #jowl #bssomodification #mios #hsso #aestheticjawsurgery

This is the winner for most hardware in head and neck region! Double #subperiosteal after #trauma reconstruction. Once healed from initial of course. May seem excessive but this person now has teeth, a smile and function again. Another fantastic showing of multidisciplinary care with #pros and #omfs. @seawhatjaysees

Multidisciplinary care leads to fantastic results! #UAB Maxillofacial Prosthetics and @uab_omfs provide this patient with life saving cancer surgery and reconstruction as well as an esthetic and functional occlusion. Well done, team! The patient underwent segmental #mandibulectomy with fibula free flap recon. The surgical team knows my request is to place as many implants as they can and we will do our best to make it work. Planning is wonderful when possible, but with malignant cases time is tight. Our teamwork gets the implants placed in very good working positions and now the patient has great prosthetic results. Ran out of vertical space so we went with titanium substructure rather than solid Zr. Thanks as always to Oral Arts for the beautiful restoration!
