The rest of the Southern schools!

Vanderbilt uses a unique design: students visit each of their core clinical rotation sites twice. This allows students to spend their second visit, tracking their own clinical growth, correcting past weaknesses and mastering advanced counseling skills in an environment where they already know the staff, the layout, and the EMR.

Congrats to UNCGGC alumni who were recently honored as Outstanding Supervisors by the Genetic Counselor Educators Association and genetic counseling programs! Fieldwork is an integral part of genetic counseling training and we wouldn’t be able to do it without these and other outstanding supervisors! Who is your favorite GC supervisor?

🧬 In between studying for finals and preparing for commencement, Genetic Counseling students traveled to Alabaster, Alabama to teach children between the ages of 6 and 11 about genetic traits and how characteristics are passed down from parent to child!

Thank you to Lister Hill and Albert L. Scott Libraries for partnering with our program to bring STEM programming to rural communities 📚
