Trying to develop your taste, judgement and critical thinking? I’m SO excited to be heading back to @csm_news for another talk and workshop with @ual_creativeshift ! 🎤 👀 As a Creative Director, I’ve learnt that creating beautiful visuals is only one part of the job. Knowing why an idea works, who it’s for and how it connects to a bigger brand story is where the real thinking happens. This time we’re exploring HUMAN BY DESIGN, a conversation about building your creative eye, thinking critically, navigating AI and applying these skills to real industry challenges. I’ll be sharing lessons from my experience working with global brands, alongside practical exercises you can take into your own creative practice. ‘Is this research? RULES FOR DISRUPTION with Reconcile journal’ is a powerful #minizine #manifestine made by Amberlee Green (@line_and_honey) from @reconcile.journal during a ‘Zines in research’ #zineworkshop earlier this week @unioftheartslondon. The workshop and talk, organised by UAL’s Doctoral school, was part of a series of sessions around Creative and critical methodologies, which are offered to support people during their PhD journeys! From the zine (the final rule): “Remember, EVERYTHING we ‘know’ about research can (& should be) disrupted. DISRUPT. DISMANTLE. REIMAGINE. REDESIGN. GIVING BACK IS A HUGE FLEX!!! 💚🧶✨ A few weeks ago, I was invited by @ual_creativeshift to give a talk and host a workshop as part of their Connect to Meet Up programme at @lcflondon_ It was a super intimate session, but genuinely one of my favourites. The students and young creatives were such a pleasure to meet, with so many engaging questions, conversations and ideas. After the talk, we got hands on with an AGR workshop where everyone created their own signature AGR beanie. We explored different fabrics, textures and embellishments, alongside some basic sewing techniques and fabric knowledge, giving everyone the freedom to experiment and create something completely individual to them. Being able to share the real journey behind AGR, pass on some of the skills I’ve learnt along the way and hopefully inspire the next generation of creatives is something I’ll never take for granted. Can’t wait to see what they all do next!! 🙏🏻 #fashion #knitting #knit #youngpeople #creative
