Where are my girls in tech 🤩🤩 let me know if you have any questions/where you are on your journey! Growing up I had my dad to ask for tech advice but having females who have gone through it before you is so powerful in such a male dominated field, it’s so important to support each other too ❤️

There are some other clubs and organizations that deal more with entrepreneurship too like pitch competitions and accelerators I can do another video on that one - but Draper Pitch Competition, @WBENC, @StreetCode Academy also helped a lot! #womenintech #womeninai #career

🎉 A record-breaking day for STEM at UA! The Society of Women Engineers welcomed 140+ students and 70+ parents to campus for WOW! That’s Engineering!—the biggest youth outreach event they’ve ever hosted. Students in third through eighth grade spent the day building water slides, cleaning simulated oil spills, exploring density and more, all while having fun and learning what engineering is all about. Read more on the event at the link in our bio!

AND WE’RE DONE!!!!!!! Gabby and I put on @uaswe ‘s largest youth outreach event known as WOW! That’s Engineering! for the second (and final🥲) time, which is a free engineering day camp full of fun STEM activities for 3rd-8th graders. We had 140 kids registered for WOW! and 70+ parents attend our parent program. We raised $3,500+ and had sponsors to cover lunch and activities. This has been a work in progress since August—we wanted to be bigger and better than last year, and we sure did that!!

This has been such an amazing and fulfilling experience and there’s no one I’d rather be co-coordinators with (@gabriellagaston , we rock!) !

WOW! Coordinator Taylor out✌🏻💙

Such a sweet morning at WOW! That’s Engineering!, hosted by the Society of Women Engineers! As a chemistry major working in a chemical engineering lab and applying to medical school, I know firsthand how critical early exposure to STEM is for students. That’s why I was so excited to welcome so many bright young minds to our campus!

Introducing students to the career paths available through higher education is a key factor in college readiness—an issue I’ve worked on extensively in the Black Belt. I’m incredibly proud to attend a university that values and actively supports this mission.

Huge congratulations to SWE for hosting such an inspiring event, and to my dear friends @gabriellagaston and @taylorsheffieldd for a job so well done!
