After Firaaq

Composed, performed by Junaid Ahmed

Fantastic vocals, produced with great style

3.75/5 is my rating

1.Bismillah

Written by Qafilah

Qawwali style, Produced by Aman Moroney

When we hit the chorus segment this feels like magic calling out to Bismillah. Nice live rhythms and guitars, melancholic sarangi in the interlude

A simple beautiful antara

Feels like Darbari Raag to me

2.Malang

Written by Saveeri Verma

Performed by Maanuni

Rock fusion, some nice stylish lead guitar riffs..Produced by Mir Desai

The melody shifts beautifully most unexpectedly “ dar-b -dar mujhko phirna,”

The chorus is uplifting with such fantastic harkatein and vocalization by Junaid

That solo electric guitar in interlude is face-melting

Nice outro feels like a Michael Jackson number , like Earth Song

3.Tumhaare Saath

Performed by Junaid, Nuur, Written Basaharat Ali, produced by Sunny MR

Lovely serene Rubab

Love the line “ Dil yeh kehta hai har pal yehi main rahun”, superb violins in the background, With a solo electric guitar

shanmukhapriya raag I hear

4.Laila Majnu

Such a soft and tender song, Jog Rag I felt

Written and performed by the amazing Faheem Abdullah

Produced by Junaid, Denis Thomas and Ayashi Music

Love the line “jaise Laila majnu, kisi sapne mein mile the”

Nice guitars, minimal production , rhythms, feels like a flavor of Dil Se title track

Is that the Esraj, giving a beautiful Kashmiri folk segment performed by Taha Yaseen Shah

5.Rab-E_Zuljalal

Performed by Junaiod, Ubaid Ahmed

Produced by Ayashi Music

Love the Piano and guitars in this very folkish qawaali sounding song,

I was moved with “main jo bhi karun mere rubarru, ek zaat hai bas tu hi tu”

Shanmukhapriya I hear,In male chorus

6.Roshewala

An authentic pipiece of kashmiri beauty

Is the lyrics in Pashtun maybe

Alif on composition and performs

Produced by Aman

A beautiful sacred sounding Shehnai and the bass guitars and strings are eloquent in the Antara

Is there some Khamaj, love the guitar solo , with the Shehnai playing counterpoints

7.Laila Majnu 2.0
Amazing strings in this version, Faheem abdullah vocals
Love the bass and rhythms
