Feature Film Production
PART III - The Ritz Theater

Finding the perfect location is always the most difficult part. When our collaboration with the Ritz Theater became a reality, the entire cast and crew was able to put a light on the film’s true meaning: the importance of local theaters to communities and how they bring us all together.
We are forever grateful to @ritztheatersanford for allowing us to tell our story inside these walls, and hope to be a part in the preservation process of theaters across the globe.

TONIGHT, we do it one more time. 🎬⭐💗 6PM at the always-cool @alomacinemaandgrill!

Last Sunday, a movie theater of wonderfully supportive humans showed up to celebrate seven Best Picture-winning Equal Play films—and help us take the next big step.

Now tonight is the second and final BUILD-A-BOB Launch Party, marking the official start of pre-production on my first feature film: a sci-fi romantic comedy about loneliness, connection, and whether real love can ever be programmed.

The movie is being created as part of University of Central Florida Film, the same program that produced The Blair Witch Project filmmakers. This is my grad student thesis as a Provost's Fellow pursuing my MFA.

For me, this night is also a celebration of the hundreds of people people behind those seven posters on the screen. The actors, crew, collaborators, friends, family, and supporters who have helped turn one little film into another. And another. And now, a feature-length movie!

If you’ve been meaning to come, tonight’s the night. We’ll screen the films, share some laughs, talk about the journey ahead, and celebrate independent filmmaking together.

And to everyone who has already shown up, shared a post, bought a ticket, made a film with me, or simply said, “Keep going”... THANK YOU. These really are our shared "works of heart." ❤️

Tonight: BUILD-A-BOB the feature film launches into pre-production.

Feature Film Production
PART II - The Cast

Performances are nurtured through the deep and emotional work of dedicated actors. In a way, they are personal reflections of someone’s resilience or trauma. During months of preparation, the cast of Something About Us took the story into their own hands to deliver these precise and memorable performances.

Very early on Friday morning we wrapped principal photography for my first feature film, Night of the Hurricane.

To my cast & crew, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this story come to life.

UCF Film is a one of a kind program. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity. To make a feature is to be a part of an exclusive club of filmmakers, and I’m honored to have shared this experience with my cast, crew, cohort, and faculty.

Thank you to my friends and family as well who were thrust into the filmmaking process by association.
