We’re kicking off the 2026-2027 academic year with our first Armenian Studies event at UC Irvine!

📅 October 21 | 6:30 PM
📍 Humanities Gateway 1030
🚗 Complimentary parking – Lot 7
☕ Light refreshments

Join the UCI Center for Armenian Studies in welcoming Garine Boghossian, an architect, urbanist, and researcher based in New York and founder of An Armenian Atlas / Աշխարհացոյց, an ongoing initiative exploring Western Armenian spatial histories through research and mapping.

Garine brings her work to UCI for a presentation exploring the connections between Armenian history, culture, place, and identity, followed by an interactive “Mapping Armenian SoCal” workshop where attendees will have the opportunity to participate and reflect on the Armenian communities and spaces that shape Southern California.

We are thrilled to begin the year by bringing Armenian history, culture, and community together at UCI. We hope to see you there!

Celebrating Armenian heritage month at University of California, Irvine on April 6, 2026.
It was great event organized by Armenian students association with fantastic performances by talented singers, musicians & dancers.
We also had opportunity to teach people some Armenian folk dances ( Azgagrakan shurjparer ) and inform them about history, meaning & purpose of the dances followed by dancing hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder.#araratdancegroup #uciasa #armenianfolkdance #aripari #tamzara

Big congratulations to our first-ever OCAPS Scholarship recipients 🎓✨
.
We’re so proud to recognize these incredible students:
🌟 Talia of Chapman University
🌟 Noy of University of California, Irvine
🌟 Sosie of University of California, Berkeley
.
This year marks the launch of the OCAPS Scholarship Program, created to support local Armenian students as they build their academic and professional paths. These three recipients stood out for their drive, focus, and commitment to what they’re working toward.
.
We’re excited to honor our winners tonight at the OCAPS Armenian Christmas Party, and to take this first step in building a scholarship program we intend to grow in the years ahead.
.
If you’re a student or young professional interested in being part of a growing Armenian professional community, we’d love to connect 🥰
